Not everyone is or wants to be in a relationship, and that’s perfectly fine. But on Valentine’s Day, where every couple is giving each other different candies and gifts, the single gals look on, left out. They should be just as able to do this with their gal pals. In light of this, here are some iconic Galentine’s Day ideas to do with your closest girl friends.
- Picnic
Picnics are never JUST for couples. I go on picnics with my sister and best friend quite often. Being able to disconnect in nature with someone close to you can bring you a moment of peace and calm. This is certainly one of the better ways to spend your day.
- Spa day
Every woman deserves to be pampered at least a few times in her life. Go get a massage, get in a mud bath, put cucumbers on your eyes! Whatever that means to you, go have a spa day with your friends!
- Brunch
Whether it’s a local place or somewhere a bit of a drive away, there are tons of good restaurants to try out. I personally love to try new places, especially with my friends.
- Hike
For the more outdoorsy gals, going on a hike is absolutely the way to go! Spending a day in nature surrounded by greenery with a clear goal in mind is a great way to spend this holiday.
- Friendship bracelets
Even in my college years, me and my friends have made friendship bracelets together, and have been wearing them ever since. This activity really brings out your creativity and in the end, gives you a super cute bracelet that matches your best friends.
- Baking
Baking is one of my most absolute favorite pastimes. Whether you make heart cookies, brownies, or a 3 layer cake, go make something super sweet and delicious with your girls!
- Game night
I’m a big fan of games: video, board, cards, you name it. Gather some good snacks and drinks, grab your friends, some board games, and have a fun night to remember!
- Paint and sip
Even if you aren’t Picasso’s child, painting can always be fun when you’re with friends. Separately, mocktails are really easy and fun to make. With a mocktail and a paintbrush, paint yourselves a Galentine’s day to remember!
- Photo session
No better way to remember a day than to take thousands of photos. I personally love to get all dolled up and take pictures outside or under some pretty lights and have a full-on photo session with my best friends. Not to mention, it spices up your instagram!
- Movie night
You can never go wrong with popcorn and a good movie marathon. It can be chick-flicks, dramatic movies, rom-coms, anything! As long as you’re spending the day with those you love, it really doesn’t matter.
