The NFL season opener begins Thursday, Sept. 4, as the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles unveil their banner and face off against the new-look Dallas Cowboys without their star defensive player Micah Parsons, who was unexpectedly traded following contract disputes. Former teammate Jourdan Lewis commented on the factor showing no surprise at Jones’ actions; “It’s Jerry’s World, man. It is definitely a surprise. Micah, I thought he was going to be a staple for a long time, but I feel like feelings get sour, and things went south. So it’s the NFL. Anything can happen”. Many players and fans have expressed their disappointment with the way Jones runs the Cowboys. In the past, Jones has waited until the last minute to sign star players like CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott. The Chiefs and Chargers will play the next day, on Sept. 5, to begin the global NFL schedule in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where the Chiefs are favored by 3.5. But quarterback Justin Herbert and rookie running back Omarion Hampton are looking to prove that there is a new powerhouse in the NFL.
