Hang on to your Hawaiian shirts, The Beach Boys are coming to campus! Founded in 1961, The Beach Boys have been an iconic American band for over fifty years. Their music has touched the hearts of at least three generations, spreading groovy tunes and “Good Vibrations” wherever they go. The Beach Boys are bringing “The Sounds of Summer” concert to CNU on Nov. 8, 2025. Iconic and world famous for hits like “Surfin’ USA,” and “California Girls,” The Beach Boys have quintessentially represented California and summer sun for decades. I had the amazing opportunity to see this concert in the summer of ‘24 at Wolf Trap in Northern Virginia. My family and my grandpa went and saw the concert with some friends, and the trip was incredibly memorable. The band has been a significant part of all three generations’ lives; and all the grannies in the front row were dancing like it was 1965! The Beach Boys are deeply nostalgic, and being a California native myself, nothing beats these tunes. If you’re interested in seeing some of the most iconic singers from the last half century, come out to the Ferguson center on Nov. 8! Tickets are on sale now at www.fergusoncenter.org
