The company is said to be rivaling many other prominent AI softwares, such as ChatGPT. According to NBC News, United States President Donald Trump stated that “the release of DeepSeek AI from a Chinese company should be a wake-up call for our industries that we need to be laser focused on competing.” Developed at a lower comparable cost, many U.S. companies have become wary of DeepSeek’s progression. The company is one of several other Chinese companies dominating the market, such as Lemon8 and RedNote. Both are owned by ByteDance, a Chinese internet technology company.
