More than 3,000 people have been killed in Derna, Libya this week due to deadly floods caused by Medertaranian Storm Daniel. According to CNN, the flooding broke dams in Derna, causing the tsunami-like flood.

Homes and neighborhoods have been washed away by the floods with the death count continuing to rise as the bodies of missing persons are recovered. Over 10,000 people are still reported as missing
