Abel Rodriguez, a janitor working for Rockwall High School who never misses a volleyball game, had never owned a vehicle or had his own method of transportation…until the team rallied around him. The students partnered with Rockwall Ford and made a GoFundMe in order to raise the funds for a car for Rodriquez. Not only that, they raised enough money to also cover his car insurance! Raising over 9,000 dollars, Rodriguez was now the proud owner of a new car!
A crowd of 100 peers, coworkers and students gathered around outside with signs and cheers, greeting Rodriguez with love and support.
