GOOD NEWS! An elderly couple living in Arlington Heights, Ill. were lucky to have a friendly neighbor next door when their house caught on fire! A 90-year-old man had managed to escape his complex, but found his wife wasn’t able to escape on her own, as she was wheelchair-bound. Their neighbor brought over a sledgehammer and some courage and managed to rescue the 85-year-old woman safely and securely! The three were later sent to the hospital to be checked out and later discharged in good health. “We are proud to serve a community that looks out for one another and we thank this resident for their actions and composure when it mattered most,” said a correspondent from the Arlington Height Fire Department.
