2 people killed in Ukraine’s Odesa region
As Russia and Ukraine continue to destroy each other’s infrastructures, two people were killed in a drone attack in Ukraine’s southwestern Odesa region on Sunday, Nov. 2, according to AP News. The Russian drone struck a car park located within the Odesa region on Ukraine’s Black Sea coast, causing tens of thousands of residents to be left without power. As a result of the attacks on Ukraine’s power grid, several other regions also faced rolling power cuts. This was just one of the most recent Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Ukrainian cities use these infrastructures to run water, sewage, and heating systems, and the blackout stops them from running. This becomes a major concern for Ukraine as the winter temperatures begin to approach.
