Top Ten Dance Moms Songs

Who’s on top of the musical pyramid?

With their Lifetime reunion special airing soon on May 1st, the Dance Moms cast has somehow remained culturally relevant even after the last episode aired 5 years ago. The girls’ singing careers were a huge part of the show and caused so much drama among Abby and the moms. Many of them are still releasing music today, but these are songs that were recorded and released during the filming of the show.

  • It’s a Girl Party by Mackenzie Ziegler

This girl power anthem truly raised the musical bar for the rest of the girls on the show. Mackenzie was churning out hits left and right during her time on Dance Moms, and continues to do so to this day.

  • Wear Em’ Out by Kendall K

“Kendall K is supposed to wear em out, but she only wore me out.” – Abby Lee Miller.

  • Star In Your Own Life by Nia Sioux

All of Nia’s music has similar themes of being fearless and not letting other people define your worth or success, and we love that for her!

  • Summer Love Song by Brooke Hyland

This song is a core memory for day one Dance Moms fans. It was and still is the perfect summer jam.

  • Boomerang by Jojo Siwa

Jojo’s oversaturated and colorful personna was very much in contrast with the other cast members. Abby and the girls were so mean to Jojo, so her releasing this song about not caring what haters say was iconic.

  • Shine by Mackenzie Ziegler

This song is about Mackenzie constantly being compared to her sister, Maddie. It’s a bit slower tempo, more personal, and she sounds great singing it.

  • I Hurt by Brooke Hyland

This song is about how much dance and the dance world hurts her, but she dances to get through it. Brooke’s music was always a bit more mature than the other girls, which I think sets her apart.

  • Mean To Me by Brooke Hyland

“You’re so mean, but mean so much to me”. A lyrical masterpiece.

  • Where Would I Be Without You by Kendall K

This song and video were recorded during an era where the girls were really starting to distance themselves from Abby. They skipped rehearsal on this day to film the video for this song about friendship, and I ate up the drama that it caused.

  • Teamwork by Mackenzie Ziegler

The list must end with the queen herself. This song about working together as a team is an absolute masterpiece.
